The digestive system is constructed to perform it specialoized function of turning food into ATP,thats would be needed for you to survive and recycle the waste diposal.
DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSEM? (important structure)
-mouth
-esophagus
-stomach
-small intestine/large intestine
-pancreas
HOW DOES THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM MAINTAIN HOMEOSTASIS?
The digestive system maintains hoeostatsis by providing the body with necesery materials from the food you eat so it can function properly and give you energy.Helpful bacteria also ties in to maintaining homeostasis in the digestive system. You might be thinking isnt all bacteria dangerous? The answer is No. Their is several of bacteria that is helpful in the human body system. These bacteria aid in digestion, help produce vitamins, help formulate excrement and guard against harmful bacteria.
HOW DOES THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM CORREALATES TO OTHER BODY SYSTEMS?
The digestive system correlates heavily to the respiratory system. The results of respiratory activity allow the digestive tract to function. Both systems basically work together to provide energy to body cells. For example you eat a snicker bar, automatically that snicker bar goes straight down to the digestive system. What makes this path is the epiglottis, which opens when air comes through, and closes when food comes down. the digestive system then breaks down the food into simpler molecules. this then helps the respiratory system because the lung needs nutrients in order to fuction at its highest optimum. The respiatory system supports the digetive system by giving oxygen to the digestive system.
